brain dead...

When I open a new window (XP Pro) it doesn't open full size,only about 90%,forcing me to click the middle in the upper right corner.....uuuggghhhh.

Can't recall how to fix this

that might be in the resultions settings. change that

start/control panel/display/settings/screen resultion
i use 1028-1024

usually its a browser setting that controls that but typically, if you close it full size it will reopen full size.

If you are talking about a windows explorer window, you can set the folder options under tools -> options and then check these settings...

Try this. Maximize the windows manually, then hold down the CTRL key and mouse click the X in the upper right corner of the window to close it.

When you reopen the window, it should retain its full size. Try it out, this works for me.

just IE

Open a couple of IE windows and manually maximize by clicking the Maximize button.

Then, while holding the SHIFT key, click the 'X' to close both IE windows.

Next, reopen IE - see if the winders are maximized.

Close all IE Windows but 1 max out that window. close and reopen
