The Hayabusa was my first as well.  I only just learned to ride this spring at a MSF course.  I already pegged her.  Is there a way way to derestric besides the TRE or resistor mods.

Yeah. Gear Position Switch Mod. Before the Cheeseman closed shop (or will pretty soon) he just released some modded versions of GPS. It keeps all the original maps except for 6th gear. 6th will utilize the 5th gear map. you can also try FastCycles.com in NY. They do the same thing.

the way i take it the tre helps part throttle responsiveness and eliminates top end limiter but actual performance times suffer,correct?
