works great unless 1. there is a warranty issue or 2. it does not fix right.. I would stick with an actual dealer just to make sure you get a fresh one (some ebay lids are 3 to 5 years old, but still in a box)

It's fresh, and i knew it would fit as i own 3 others. I did not have a plain black one though. It was from a motorcycle shop actually(a real dealer,with a ebay store) He had an overstock of plain black 1000's in a few sizes.But those are very good points... If you are buying a lid, and you don't already have one of that particular model, it would be VERY wise to stick with a known dealer.
