Bent Forks?

If you have read my Crash Count thread, you'll know my buddy lost his life recently on his busa. After Putting it back together, the handlebars are off to the side, not straight anymore. the swing arm has been replaced along with both subframes (rear and front). Think the front forks may be bent? What is the best/easiest way to be sure?

Put a straight-edge(a framing square, ruler, ect) against the forks. You can usually just see it, or feel them bind as they go up and down.
The upper and lower triple clamps may be misaligned or damaged too.

There's a video on you tube on how to re align the front forks and trees basically amounts to loosening everything on the front end including the center nut then using a rear stand gently climb on and bounce on front end to load the suspension it should square up the front end provided its not damaged.....sorry for your loss also I recently went through the same thing had me questioning whether or not I should continue to ride not an easy decision

I will admit, my faith in the busas were shaken for a while, and it really drives home the point that riding safe is the only way to ride.

Defiantly agree sadly sometimes it don't matter when a soccer mom pulls out in front of you I swear sometimes people thing there the only thing that matters gotta get little Timmy to his play date.... I've had a few close calls one crash that was my fault each time I got back on the horse this affected me differently months afterward I found I couldn't relax on the bike it's gotten better over time it's just a strange feeling usually I go riding to relax not get tense

The bike as of yesterday
