Well, I went to my local Batteries Plus store and bought the X2-12 for my 2000 busa. The problem is I can't get my seat all of the way down. I read some of the threads in the forum and I came to the understanding that the 12 would be a good fit and that only the 14 required some modification. It's the little foam pad that is getting in the way. If I press down extremely hard, I am able to get the seat in line with the bolt holes. Will I cause any damage to the seat if I attach it in that forced position ? Should I remove the foam pad ?

removed the foam pad. seat still wont go all of the way down without me forcing it. the screws holding the battery cables down are getting in the way and my ground cable is way to short to bring around in order to side mount. has anyone else had any problems installing this battery ? i had read one thread where they said it fit like a glove. thought that meant i could go out, buy it, pop it in and take off...

Cut off the rectangle section that you removed the foam block from, then the seat will fit!

Thanks for the help ! Haven't used my rotary tool in two years and now she's back in action ! Got the rectangle off in only a few minutes and now my seat sits perfectly over the battery !
