After reading his first post, I think he should stick with 4 wheels. Bike seems to always tip over all on its own...

glad you are OK, but get some insurance. these bikes are expensive to fix, insurance is cheaper

Yikes! Agreed...140 lbs, first street bike is a Hayabusa??? Riding in Illinois in February...consider puddles of water as ice every time that time of year. Not that it can't be done but brother you are trying to operate a heavy @ss sport bike as your first ride. Don't take this as a slam, but it sounds like your friends were right about your ability to manhandle the bike and that's why you got in such trouble.

Dude Im in Rockford IL too. With all of the bikes that get smashed out here, you were riding around without insurance??? Im just guessing that you got a no insurance ticket too when the emergency services were called? When you start putting her back together drop me a line and Ill see what parts I have laying around. Sorry to hear about your ride but damn bro sounds like you might have jumped up to the heavy weight division a bit early in your career.

BRETT! This is serious and you probly wont like my advice BUT ...After reading your post and the issue you had back in feb. You must sell this Busa no kidding around, your gonna die! I usually dont give this advice but it is obvious you shouldnt be on any street bike until you watch a few hwy patrol vids that show real accidents and death ... and then take a MSF course and then maybe a track school course.

If you crash your bike and report it to your insurance company, dosent you car insurance go way up?

not mine. state farm said only my bike would go up and only 10% max.

I hate to tell you dude, but if you really need major work done to the engine and a new front end, your bike is totalled. Board members are awesome around here and help others out all the time, but the type of repairs you need are way past what the typical board member has laying around.

We need WAY more info on what's damaged. A scanned estimate from the shop and pics will go a long ways around here.


Now I feel there is a REAL need to say this.
I'm assuming you haven't taken a MSF course like everyone recommended to you. If you had, they would have taught you how to brake in an emergency. Bottom line, if the person in front of you can stop that fast, SO CAN YOU!


A crash a month. You need to just leave it alone for a while, get healed up. Make some more money, because you still run high odds of crashing again. And this has nothing to do with you, but rather new riders in general. The first 6 months are the most dangerous.

Take a MSF class, buy full gear(helmet/jacket/pants/boots/gloves), and leave yourself lots of space and ways out in traffic.

GET INSURANCE! At least liability.

That kind of irresponsibility(no liability) really pisses me off!

Full coverage, whatever its your bike.
But you HAVE to be resposible when you operate any vehicle.

I WILL NOT ride with anyone who doesn't carry at least liability.

Anyone can afford liability unless you have a bad record. In which case you don't need to be riding period.

I respect a lot of the members here and I have to agree with KENTO-MOTO... the joy of life is living it... get rid of the busa (part it out) and see if you can get your sentra in the low 11's while you can still have all your limbs... back to back accidents it s clue that you need to try something different or go back to your all hobbie...

Some of the things you are saying Busa boy are really unsettiling. I hope you understand that no one here is trying to insult you but they are all trying to help you. You should really consider selling the Busa and getting a 600. Which is still plently deadly to ride. A 600 Honda shadow or Vstar would probably be better suited to your riding style. I think your freinds were saying the bike is to "big" for you in a CC kinda way not a heavy bike kind of way. I hope you listen to these people this time through and slow it down and take a hard look at your priorities. Get full gear, Take a course, get liability, Really consider swaping your bike out for a smaller bike. Just from reading your posts I can see your not ready for a Busa yet. Good luck man

Please dude take this advice. I was really worried in feb. when you wanted a thumb throttle. check this out. this could have been you.

your helmet is no good anymore either. they are only good for 1 impact. I CAN'T BELIEVE AFTER A BUS RAN OVER YOU AND ALMOST SMASHED YOUR HEAD YOU STILL WON'T GET RID OF IT.

A whole nother issue is your liable now for the damage to the bus if any. and if you had hit the car first youd be liable for it too.
