You know I actually got rid of my SV so I would stop doing stunts like wheelies and endos.  I just got sick of risking my butt, but man do I love messing around like that.  I've been getting pretty good at sit down wheelies on the Busa but want to do stand ups.  I just figured that if these were meant to be stunted, then some company out there would make stunt gear for these bikes.

I never did see any stunt gear for our bikes, until now.  Freestyle Ingenuity which makes some quality stuff just came out with an engine cage for our bikes.  I'm surprised not to see a 12 bar yet.  Anyways, I think I may get this thing.  I would love to attempt more endos, but have been scared to go down sideways due to the weight of the bike.  I mean I have an '04 LE and that red paint is so purdy.  I just don't want to mess it up.  The hell with it, I miss doing wheelies and endos.

Here is a link to the sale of the cage:

Hey , if that is your thing then go for it! Why not? Busa stunters are the most skilled IMO.

Before you stunt your busa please cancel the registraion and insurance you have. Stunting bikes probable costs all of us a lot more in insurance premiums than you might think.

That is the most retarded thing I have read today....why dont people who do speeds in excess of 100mph on the freeway do the same thing....for that matter same goes for guys hitting 25mph corners @ 55+.

Sorry if I struck a nerve guys, I guess I just dont understand the stunting thing.  Had a run in with agroup one time doing stunts on a main road here.  They decided to get in front of my truck, hog both lanes and slow me to 35 in a 55.  I proceeded to pass them on the shoulder and one actually tried to force my Ram off the shoulder, I waived at him and pointed to tell him I was coming back into my lane.  He decided to play chicken with my truck until he became smart and decided it was unwise.  Been bias towards stunters since then because they put my wife and son in danger by playing games on the street instead of the playground... .

I assure you I am not retarded, just tired of high insurance for those who choose to ride backwards, off the side, on the tank of thier bikes. Its got a seat, use it..

Hey man your not alone on this one. I think it is F'n retarded to be doing that stuff on congested highways. They give the rest of us a bad wrap cuz most people already dislike sport bikers. There is a time and a place to do that stuff and the highway is not one of them. And it's not for 150mph runs either

We went out last night messing around and this damn Busa really feels very unbalanced when coming up. It comes down hard as hell also. I actually did buy this thing in the first place so I would stop doing crazy shite on my bike.

My buddies and me usually find industrial parks to mess around in, not major streets and highways. I have decided that I more than likely won't stunt the Busa but I am planning on finding another bike to goof around on, something not so heavy.

Ok, well now you blew it...I take back what I said now...in your first post you came off like you knew what you were doing.
Obviously you need to get a cheap beater if you want to learn to stunt.

Better get some advice from other stunters before you fvck your Busa up.

bent, I never claimed to be a pro stunter.  How often do you do wheelies?  I also said that I did stuff on my SV, which I miss dearly.  I'm almost thinking about a naked '03 SV1000 just as a stunt bike since I was so comfortable with messing around on it.

The Busa is great for the occasional sit down wheelie in 1st gear, but I was trying to bring it up in 2nd while standing and it just kept wobbling on take off.  I've also only had it for almost 2 months and just now started attempting wheelies on it.  I'm sure I'll get it down sooner or later.

Welp if you buy a street bike with the purpose to do wheelies or "stunt" on it then I personally wish you'd drop your insurance and get a BMX.

I bought my bike to ride. That is 75% of its usage. Any add on is there to make that ride as enjoyable or comfortable as possible. Things like frame sliders or crash cages are there because the rider EXPECTS a crash or a drop. WHY? Because their skill levels are too low for bikes of these caliber? Or because the riders will be doing things that these bikes shouldn't be doing on public roads? Either way I wish i didn't have to pay for their learning lessons.

Before anyone starts spouting about that being my sole opinion, YOU MIGHT want to check out some other uneducated opinions of those who are also againist public street "stuntin" like ohhhhh the AMA.

Some people who buy sliders buy them in case of an accident. Im sure you have read plenty of posts about people Busa's falling off the kickstand. When i see someone with sliders on their bike, i dont think "man they must not know how to ride", i think they are being cautious and trying to save the fairing in case something does happen.

yeah but "sliders" are not designed nor intended to protect a bike from a stupidity move.

Bought my first Busa new in 2001. I have owned maybe 20 Busas personally for riders or projects. Never done the stupid "kick stand mod". Never installed sliders. Never had a bike fall off a side stand. Never dropped one in a parking lot either. That tells me that these "accidents" are perfectly avoidable and not the bike's or Suzuki's fault.

Maybe someone should design some training wheels that unfold at speeds below 2 mph to avoid the unnecessary need for sliders?

BTW how does self inflicting damage on a perfectly good fairing by cutting a hole in it save a fairing?
