The fine you get in New York for being caught with a license plate that has purposely been blocked will be levied sometime after you get your motorcycle out of impound! Thats why these are for "show purposes", or "off road" use only . . .

Maybe just me but I only heard of a few times of a busa being caught and one is when they ran out of gas, besides that I would assume your either going to out run the car or get chased by one of those little spy planes they got

I have seen some people who use Velcro and a hinge. When they want to hide, they just flip up and the velcro holds it.

Every link in this thread is dead or our of business, but I was actually able to find a another company selling them: - Hide Away License Plate Kit for Cars & Bikes

I got a kit for a car from them which works well but I can't really speak on the bike kits.
