I'm not a small man at all, at 6'4 and approx 260lbs. I'm wondering 2 things.
1). what's the most weight (approx) you've put on the rear seat (meaning a 2nd person).
2). what's the total weight that the bike can carry and not break anything off. I definately don't want the seat to crack or anything.

I plan on taking my brothers up and down the street when I get the bike, and they are a little bit smaller than me, I'd say about 220-230lbs.
Just wondering if the bike will be able to handle all that weight.
thanks all.

schweeeeeeet, thanks guys. I'll definately let you know how it goes. & so all know the great IRS has received my return electronically and the countdown officially begins for me, I believe I'm not the first I think Ninjaeater beat me to it, but March 14th is the day I have all my ducks in a row to pick up my baby #2.
Now I wonder what I can get them to throw in (I'm thinking about the Icon Timax mesh jacket)...
will keep you all posted.
and welcome back Rub, hope you're here to stay.

Might want to stiffen up the rear shock a little, if your using the stock suspension settings there is a guide on the forums showing you how to easily adjust it.

Remember this one? May be a good point of reference for maximum allowable weight.

hey tonyy1, im 6'5 259lbs and i know some guys that are 6'8 at 300lbs that ride the busa.does your bike have the stock swingarm or has it been extended? if it has been extended theirs a couple of different ways to set up the stock shock.you can set the screws and turn the spring to help the bike to keep from rubbing,if you haven't changed the arm you probly will only need to adjust the screws on the shock.
maybe this will help!!!

The GVWR is 948 pounds - 550 = 400lbs left for suited up riders and gear.

Thats quite a bit..just adjust your suspension accordingly.
