Reason i am asking is i want to put em on. But DAMN those holes are mighty close!! Please tell me noone has had any problems with them. I also ask because im a heavy hitter. Real heavy hitter 300 +. Holla back...before i end up on my back!!!

Check these out. This is what I have on my bike and it is completely adjustable, not just 2 other choices. And looks like it can take alot more weight than factory to me.
