I have always heard that Armorall flakes off and looks crappy after a while. They put Armorall on the black side covers of my new bike. I couldn't complain after how picky i was about asking them to rub out every little scratch on the bike. The armorall sure looks nice but I would like to take it off if i can. Is this possible?

I'm sure some rubbing alcohol on a rag will remove it.

Nasty stuff! Especially if what you apply it to is out in the sun for any period of time. Will make it crack and peel in no time. Plus it leaves a nasty greasy film behind.

put armorall on your friends' seats its fun:laugh:

I put some saddle soap on my passenger seat and then rode two up with my daughter, every time I stopped she slid into my back and banged her helmet into mine. It was pretty funny.
I did not do it on purpose BTW

+1, Armor All is yucky stuff. And never use it on your m/c seat, and more importantly never let it anywhere near the tires!!!

Thanks. I'll probably leave it for now. It might actually hold up because the bike will be inside a lot. Good to know it can be removed.

go to parts store and get some degreaser. only way it will come off completely also works if you get it on other stuff such as floor. will make a tile floor dangerous.

It's probably not a major problem. Armor-All isn't the same crap it once was. Still, I prefer the Meguiar's plastic and leather protectant, myself.

Whatever you do, do NOT use alcohol on any of your bike. Hot soapy water and then be sure you treat with your treatment of choice.

Use Simple Green. It is safe for just about everything on the bike & will clean Armor All off anything.

I have Simple Green, I have degreaser, I have soap and water. I even have denatured alcohol.

Think I'll start off gentle and work my way up to the hard stuff if I need to. Sure looks nice now though. I may leave it a while.

Don't use the denatured alcohol!
I tried it on my invisible shield material and it hazed. Not sure about the plastic but I would not want this to happen to you. Ask around or try it on the inside and see before you take a chance on something that shows.
Just my 2cts.
