Another silly bike stand question

I have a set of swing arm rear and fork peg fronts, and I have never had a problem at all, bike seems stable as can be! I don't care what set up you have, I always get nervous when I lift her up! Afraid she will trip!lease:

Ok, you guys have told me why i need stands, so i just ordered them. Not to bring up bad memories but i have heard a few people say their bike has fallen over on stands while unattended in the garage. Why and how does this happen? Does the stand fall sideways or slip out from under? I'm not trying to sound like a smarta** i just dont want my next post to be about my bike falling over.
