You've heard it all before, so I won't be redundant. But I will say that thieves should have their f*ckin' hands chopped off at the wrist.

Odds are is that it's someone that either knows you personally or know of you. The thieves definitely did their homework. I hate those commy bastards...

BTW, I'm a little more partial to the red SE myself, but you can't go wrong with the blue/silver or black/purple. Just glad it wasn't a total loss. Good luck!

Wow...so sorry to hear that it was stolen! Goes to show that if someone wants it, they'll get it...

Hey thieves - ever heard of getting a job and buying one with some hard-earned HONEST cash?

I like the purple and black combo on the '04...it's a very deep purple, quite striking when you see one in person...good luck with finding your Busa, even more luck keeping a Busa from being stolen again...

That sucks brother, but at least insurance is kicking in for you. I like the Black/Purple as well.

Hope you get back on the road again soon, and let us know what you get!

If you want/need a good hook up, the dealer I got mine from is really good and does have both on display for you to look at, they'll even take them out in the sun for you to really see them

Alarms don't work either.... You want to protect your bike, keep it in a garage. If you can't afford a garage, you may want to consider another toy if you can't afford to protect the one you got.

Your best defense is to be aware of where you take your bike, how long you live it there, etc... (I never take my ride to the mall for example)

This morning I was doing my bit to try and locate the person or persons that took my baby.  I had a tip that it was seen in a little town right down the road from my house, so off I went to post up Reward for information posters.  Posted those and saw a local cop sitting in his car so I approached him.  He knew who I was and what I was there about before I even said anything, so the NCIC really does work.  Now I must ask myself, Why did I buy a Hayabusa?  The answer I come up with is so that I can have the fastest bike around, and that point was proven in the hands of the thief.  Cops clocked and chased him at 132 MPH, and the poor little cop car could not keep up.  Just my luck, if it had been me that got clocked at that speed, I would have had the entire Los Angeles SWAT team on my arse, choppers and all.  I told the police that  unless you have other cops around, you will not catch that bike, especially if the thief has a straight away.  Here is another kicker, at that speed he was not wearing a helmet.  If a june bug would have hit him, he would have been killed from the bug impact.  The person that took my bike, truely does not know what a beast he has got ahold of, but it breaks my heart to know that someone is running my bike like that.............especially knowing that it is not me

Oh paper work is done, and on its way back to insurance company.  Hopefully by the end of next week, or sooner, I will be a proud owner again of a Hayabusa.  I have decided on the Blue on Gray, just cannot find a red one, plus it will remind me of my old one.............

Yep, good insurance is the only thing that works. If they want it, they're taking it. As for hooking it up to 220....I'm a lineman in florida. I can hook it up to 7,200 if you want! Of course you would go to prison for violating the poor bastards' rights...god bless america!
What poor bastard's rights?

"...Naw, officer, didn't hear a thing last night. You sure he was around here? It was awful quiet. That? No that's just the crap I was cleaning out of my BBQ. We sure do love our BBQ..."

Sitting around just doing some slight thinking, which I know that all my thinking is slight, but here was an idea that I came up with so to speak.  Tell me how it sounds to you.  It is sort of a ripoff from a spy movie that I saw a while back.  Here is the trick.  Get a piece of flat copper plate, bend in half so that it has a spring like effect.  Buy an audiable alarm from radio shack along with a 24volt relay, and wire the plate to the horn and, then to the relay.  Place the copper plate under the kick stand, where the presure will keep the plates together.  As long as the bike in on the plate, the circuit is complete, but as soon as someone cuts the wire, or lifts the bike off the kick stand, the circuit is broken, thus sounding the horn.  The horn cannot be reset until the alarm owner resets it, so the horn sounds constantly, even if they sit the bike back down on it.  I know very basic, but would it really work, or do I need to go back to the drawing board...............hmmmmmmmmmmmm.
