Another New Owner?

Hello, I thought I would drop in and say hello. Due to a Divorce and some back surgeries I had to sell my Kawasaki ZZR and my C90T. I'm getting back on a bike this summer and finally there is an '07 Busa in my price point. The power does scare me a bit since I've never had a sports bike with more the 600 cc and 115 hp.
The Busa has nothing but great reviews from comfort for long distance and of course power. I've sat on the bike and loved the size of it.
My question about the bike is the power ban. Is it punchy in first gear riding around town like my GSXR 600 and ZZR or is it comfortable riding in 2nd?

Welcome, the power comes on as fast as your wrist. It's not punchy and is very well mannered below 7K rpms.

After putting 150 on my new one today I can confirm this. Very manageable, I come from riding Harleys and anything over 4k rpm on those is screaming. Its going to take some getting used to with all the revs! I enjoyed myself so much and am wondering why I didnt do this sooner!
