Animal Sex Question.

Not what you think. My dog was playing with something this afternoon and when I got close enough to see it was a baby squirrel. I don't understand why they are baby squirrels this time of year. That's supposed to happen in the spring. Does anyone have an answer to this? Not that it really matters, I was just curious. Could have been a Midget I guess.

Sometimes they come into heat early and get mated, sounds like that's the haps here.
