I know that this is one stupid question but pardon me to still ask : is it necessary to flash the ECU to fit these titanium exhaust or one can just replace these with the stock ones without any ecu modification because out here flashing ECU is kinda expensive plus the warranty also gets void.

Or get a pc programmer...

This bike will get dialed in before long and it will outperform the other generations....

It's not even in the hands of our trusty tuners and already there is hope.

When our tuner friends get hold of this bike and work their magic, it will be an animal.

Sweeeet music to my ears. Who needs to listen to music, that it is right there. Man, I can't wait to feel the pull of the clutchless shift. All that time lost getting down will not be any longer!! Love the pop during shift too. It sounds F1 instead of like a miss fire of sorts, clean, precise, and regular. I'm leaving mine stock. I had to get my Brock's stuff shipped to Louisiana and back to me here in Cali. because they won't ship ANY aftermarket non CARB stuff here, I tried. Besides I like the mufflers better on Gen3 than gen1 and 2. These are still big, but a much nicer brushed look. Also, every time I pass CHP, no matter what they doing, they look as I pass with the Brock's on my gen2. Tickets here in Cali are triple what they are in other states.

Yeah, slip on's, no tune. With the full system, you better get a good tune from a known tuner. Don't risk screwing your bike up. I had a $500 tune on my gen1 back in 2002 and it ran like crap and back then, that was an expensive tune. Sounded like a miss fire on decel, popping, gurgling and nothing he did stopped it. I read later after I got rid of it, all he needed to do was block off the pair valve. So, yeah not all tuners know what they're doing. This tuner came highly recommended too!! Thinking of 2002, I have been a member here for 19 going on 20 years. When I went inactive on this site for a few years, they changed setups or something and couldn't find all the info on me. So, I went from groran to groran1000 because some of the info like my screen name was still here and I couldn't use it because according to the server, that name was already taken, some of the other stuff was gone. long story, I know.

My friend is a manager at a near by dealer has dyno shop and big busa lover he is waiting patiently to do my bike gonna use velocity stacks sprint air filter and sprocket with full titanium exhaust that should get me 200hp and open her up for now and hopefully ecu will get flashed by end of year by Chris Moore or brentuning. The same combo was done on my zx14r and unlocked 40hp...

Don't know about the rest of you, but I think the ultimate tune with dyno would be at Brock's. I watched him on youtube and the man doesn't miss a slot on the tuning chart at every rpm and all. I watched him tune a gixxer1000 and I was amazed. Phew, I think his tune is $1k or more though!!

Please feel free to elaborate.....Many Gen2's pushed 192 or close to that. This engine has modified lighter internals. I would expect more than this one better air filters and a full tune are included.

By everything I've read, it'd take a lot of mods for a gen 2 to get over 190 rwhp...the regular mods generally turned out mid 180 rwhp figures.

I agree though, the gen 3 with good solid mods should be able to punch out good solid numbers due to it's engine changes...it is set up for mid range hp development so that would have to be taken into effect.

I questioned those simple mods to net 40hp on a zx14.

I wouldn’t even begin to speculate what could or couldn’t be on a bike with no real mod info. Time will tell in my book.

To be exact it was 36hp from 3 pulls with full race exhaust, flash, sprocket, sprint air filter, stacks and block off plates and bike was broke in motoman style and it was the se model in which Chris Moore even said that it had some extra sauce in that bike when I sold the bike I gave him dyno chart or I would post a pic... was a great bike but I made 3k profit so basically getting new bike for about the same price will be doing the same mods to this bike and will post some busa porn for you guys.

Mods were over 3k and with MR12 fuel 40hp can be achieved! I will say dyno shop said that this zx14 pulled more power then any other zx14 he did with those mods.... motoman for the win ! That helped me sell it for 13k bike still had extended warranty and once buyer saw dyno chart and talked with my tuner bike was gone.

Not gonna lie I miss the hell out of those 2 special edition dark knight tron bikes!!!
