Malcolm: I sent you an e-mail early this morning at the address you provided.

Haven't heard back. Did you get it?

Hi Cisco, yep, I did hear that the '98 TLRs sometimes splutter or stall when cranking it hard open, doesn't happen on my '99 or a well mapped '98. Come on, the real reason you wanted a 'busa was for all that sexy horsepower!)

Hayabusa, about the dealer switch and idle, I know the switch disables the "remap" settings, but am GUESSING that it might also put the injection in some type of "simple" mode like the limp-home mode, to make it easier to diagnose. Otherwise, maybe your bike had the "remap" done at some point??

Bob, yep, a few TLR guys have had troubles with the "tip over sensor". Most ended up removing it. It is a safety feature, I like mine where it is! Never had a power cut out, apart from one time with almost empty tank and braking (tank slosh no fuel).

About the flappers, the only time they are activated by the ECM is UNDER 2500rpm. Do you care about the torque under 2500rpm? Personally, I would prefer to lose a few hp at (very) low revs, and gain a few hp at every revs over 2500... Thats why I removed my TLR flappers. Actually I think it improved the hp through ALL revs - seat of the pants.
