so this morn, i was gonna work some O/T, nice cool morn, no traffic

get the bike out, gear up

key on, everything lights up (thought the gear indicator had like a dash thru it vs N or 1)

hit the start button, and the lights dim, but no starter, nor engine noise

do it a few times, nothing

kick the stand to the up position, nothing........

what to do next?

:please:

I think I say I think the dash indicates a Throttle Position Sensor fault ?
Maybe somebody can confirm this for me and you ?

Battery? Also, not sure of the set up on a Gen II, but look and see if there is a set of two wires coming off the master cylander assembly for the clutch... if there are, wiggle those connectors a bit and try...

I think it was the master cyl leads, got home, read tis thread went out and jiggled the leads, Also turned the eng cutoff switch off&on (though I did that this morn)

And it cranked up

Thanks

I have had a clutch switch go bad before. Took it apart and cleaned up the contacts. At the time my 02 gsxr 1k had 2k miles on it..... But I was a ble to fix it! Hope you find the source of the problem!:beerchug: Let us know what exactly you found!
