I think what he means is that the only way to do that would be to gut/modify the alien head set-up! If $$$ isn't a problem then it might be possible otherwise I wouldn't recommend it.

Are turbo bikes ungodly loud? or does the downpipe serve as some sort of buffer?

I wouldnt do it...no need. Turbos have more of a winding noise.

Interested in why it is not a good idea. Just a learning exercise for me. I may want to go turbo one day.

they make turbos with regular one can on the side or the dump pipe... But they make a beautiful spoolling sound when they start reving up and a little chirp when the waste gate opens... it's a beautiful thing, god i wish i could get one...

You can do it, Brock has a turbo 14, and 08 Busa set up with it.
