2017-18 dash on a gen 1

Hi all, was looking for a digital display for my gen 1 quad project, but whilst reading through old posts on here, people say use gsxr 1000 clocks and change the pin out....
So could this be done with the newer style digital dash, if so what parts would I need apart from the clocks

The gear indicator, coolant, FI stuff won't work, totally different protocol.

I have made adapters for 07-11 GSXR1000 dashes on a gen2 busa, but even those won't work on a gen1 for coolant temp, gear indicator, and FI.
