Here's the problem. I can be rolling along at 60 to 65 mph with no problems. But when I kick it up to 72 mph the engine dies as if I hit the engine kill switch. When the bikes speedometer drops back down to 60 mph it kicks back on. I have had the bike over six years and have not done any system modifications. Has anyone experienced this problem before.

When I'm in top gear always around 72 mph.

Only in 6th gear? What year bike (99-2000) & were you the only owner of said bike. Never heard of this but sounds electrical or injector issue possibly even the fuel pump. Would call up Boosted by Smith he chases odd stuff down like a blood hound.
