\"00 Busa Dyno Runs...

2000 Red/Gray Busa - approx 1500 miles. These 2 dyno runs were the first time the bike has been over 8,500 RPMs. 95% of the 1500 miles were freeway miles with only 3 runs up to 8,500 in 6th gear. Ohyeah, and the chain has never been lubed - I'm used to having a center stand, sticking the bike in 1st gear and letting it idle as I clean and lube.

on a DynoJet's Model 150
1st run: 155.3hp
2nd run: 158.6hp SAE Corrected HP
Temp: 83.4 degrees F
Pressure: 29.67-0.39 in. Hg
Altitude: 30 ft
Correction Factor: 1.00
Max Speed in 6th gear: 194 mph

Motorcyclist June, 2000. Stock Y2K Busa dyno'd at 163.7 hp vs. 155.9 for the '99
Johnnycheese has posted that the ECM for the 2000 has a timing mod.
Could this account for the difference in hp between the '99 and the '00 ?
EZ

What would you guys expect from a stock bike? about 155bhp?? 162 is only an increase of 4.5 per-cent above this, I'd have thought dynos vary from each other by about this amount any way. (Mine made 160 with 6000 miles and race cans). - The point is, the fact that we're talking these sort of figures for a standard bike (with a decent curve, Kawasaki take note!)- is cause for us all to celebrate!!

Nice one!!
