\"00 Busa Dyno Runs...

Sorry guys, I don't have any dyno charts. I
was informed of the 162 hp. dyno run by Neville at Lee's shop in North Carolina.

Thanx. I'll get the chart off my PC tonight.

A thought...

Why don't we, as a group, "standardize" how we report dyno results. Do this so that when someone says xxx rwhp it is comparable to the numbers the rest of us are getting. As an example, dyno results should always use 1. the top of the graph during a 4th gear rollon
2. calibrated for a standard barometric pressure/altitude. Sea level
3. calibrated to a standard temperature. 72deg F ??
4. What brand & type dyno. At least report which one you used ?
5. Adding air to the Busa's nose ?
6. What gas? regular or premium ?
etc.
7. Honestly report ALL mods.
8. Always report what color busa. Rumor has it that Red is the fastest. Let's find out for sure.

If we do this then we can compare results among each other and draw meaningful comclusions.

Where's Dyno-Mark when we need him.

Frank, I agree totally. Busa you guys amaze me with your insatiable appetite for more. I'm thinkin about 170 at the tire is about the most you can still enjoy as a sportbike. Meaning slammin the turns and generally doing the foggy fantasy stuff. With the numbers your talkin its like point and shoot. Those bikes need to be taken to remote or controlled areas to even stretch their legs. This is just me but until chassis development progresses to the point of being able to deliver that kind of power to the deck with the same control and predictability as a stock or piped and boxed busa, I'll pass on the big numbers. I still enjoy watching oyu guys though.

Why 4th gear when 5th and 6th give more HP?

Busa's computer leads to higher HP readings in the top 2 gears!

Any non-believers? Next time on dyno do a 4th gear roll-on and 6th gear roll-on directly afterwards and compare!

Relax on the Dyno stuff. 1 Dyno run does not mean anything.
Consecutive runs provide higher numbers regardless of what gear your in.
As you said Animal try it. We always do a minumum of two and usually three. HP goes up in order 1st run the lowest, 2nd-3rd the highest. It has to do engine temp. I have never been on a dyno where the first roll-on is used.

Has anyone seen the dyno chart yet? GSX1360R can you email me a copy (coco@att.com) or fax it (407 834-9573)?

Thx,
--Felix

Thanks GSX1360R, I received the fax. It appears that parts of the graph have been darkened with what appears to be a marker of some sort. I assume the original was not clear, correct?

--Felix

The whole fax has been darkened with a marker to make it easy to read because it's a poor copy. You can verify the hp. at Lee's Performance if there are any thoughts of me tampering...Out.

Why dont all you rocket scientists post your dynos on a site where you can use pictures. It would save you sending a hundred emails!
