Jack or Stands??/

Hey all, i am new to doing the maintance thing! But tired of paying someone to do something that i know i can do.... But real reason is i am about to drop my motor... so question is should i by Jack stands or a motorcycle floor lift? I am a little weiry about the bike being suspended in mid air ??? Any ideas?

if you can afford it.....a lift

a lift will make your back, legs.....everything much happier.

neither... i suggest the wife and kids... to hold the bike and clean when your done with maint... why jeopardize the beer money

Well the cost diff, between two stands and a floor lift isn't that much... but the fact that i only have a wife makes it a little dificult

You can use both at different times.

Hey WhiteChoc, let me throw some pics at you....I use stands for oil changes, tire/wheel/brake work....BUT a lift OR a homemake table is wonderful! No sore neck, easier to light up and access, and you can sit on a chair to work. pics to further illustrate follow..... Raydog
