I got it to show the code with the bike running. Pulled the seat and jumped the pins as it was running and flashing the light. Try the same see what code it is. It's the right place to start.

Sounds like poop gas, if you didn't put stabilizer in gas over winter it's probably no good. Dump it, run fresh stuff through to purge rails and fill it full with some mild injector cleaner additive.

Update: I narrowed down the source and it's coming from the exhaust pipes. I can hold throttle at 4k rpm and it will howl, then I can put my hand over one of the pipes and the noise goes away. Bike has voodoo stubbies on it. What would cause pipes to change sound all of a sudden? Confuesed.
