Interesting morning, trespassers.

We live in a private community, 12 large acreage lots with a private dirt road running through the center. Each property line runs to the center of the dirt road, meaning it is private and owned by the property owners.

Very private, very safe, regulated with reasonable rules to protect the value. The entrance has a sign clearly stating private property no trespassing allowed.

Two pickup trucks found it today, using the road and off the road to play dirt riding. Both had their license plates covered.

Went out to confront them, one guy got out asking me what I’m going to do about it. Neighbor came walking down the road, the other driver also got out of his truck. Neighbor yells asking them if they understand the Castle Doctrine, because they are on private property, he pulls his jacket back to show his gun and asks me to call the cops. At this point both try and get back into their trucks, and I have the one guy by his jacket. He is too fast for me, gets loose and runs back to his truck. They both got away, left, I have the jacket though. Nothing in the pockets and it smells a little.

Very surprised, first incident in seven years.

Makes me think of the Nancy Guthrie case, what is wrong with people?

Probably should be looking at adding a Rottweiler to my to Cattle dogs.
At least it ended without injury, but they almost wrote a check their behinds couldn't cash!

Planted another fruit tree (an orange tree this time).

In my goal of chasing numbers this year and being more motivated, that’s….

6 trees planted.
5 days out on the bike.
4 timed 5K / 3.1 mile Parkruns.
I was thinking about your tree plantation this morning while I look out the window.......

Although this is late to the party, last year I noticed the ice split a branch on my juniper bush at the front of my house so I added a bit of tree and shrub fertilizer to some water and sprayed the split part then bound it with rope so it was drawn together tightly.....the needles went brown at first but over the summer they greened up again and now a person can't tell where the split was.....

Initially I thought I might have to cut it down......now it's flourishing....

Early Tuesday morning a neighbor down the street had his new fully loaded Tundra stolen.....three other Tundras were stolen in the area....the police believe they were all targeted and suspect the Amazon delivery drivers as being complicit in finding and marking them for theft......but so far don't have any proof of that.....

I said it is either something like this or a GPS tag placed on them in a public parking area and they just locate them for a later theft.....

All three were new white high end Tundras.....

I said I'm glad I drive an older Ram as nobody wants to steal that.....

However, I will be mindful of my Hayabusa as it might be on their list......there are few of them around here, I know of only one Gen 1 and one Gen 3 in the area.....

Yeah, those trucks were definitely targeted. I usually look forward to the delivery trucks coming around, but would agree that they have the opportunity to be complicit in many less than legal activities. Not that they are.

There have been a lot of "fly by night" delivery companies stand up around here so anything is possible I figure......

The sad part is the guy down the street waited 6 months for his truck to come into the dealership and figures it will be a wait to replace it...

The saddest part is he has a large 2 car garage but has so much stuff in them that he can't park in there.....

I was just outside and saw a pair of falcons fly over......spring is here in theory but it's only 19'f out there right now....and still over a foot of snow on the level in the yard....

A few days ago I saw a flock of geese fly over.....at least the river is open so they can go there to find food...

It's a quiet day here for reflection.....

After a bit, I noticed that there are very few motorcycle names that have survived time....the Gold Wing seems to be one of the oldest that is still in production......

As for sport bikes, the Ninja name has survived.......

I liked the days of motorcycle names like Katana, Ninja, Interceptor, Hurricane to name a few, we didn't get the Fireblade name here in North America did we?

My day started at 3am when I woke up in a sh*t ton of pain coming from my right shoulder that has the anti-biotic articulating spacer in it (in lieu of a prosthetic joint that will be going back in May 13th). Must have rolled over on my right side, dislocated the spacer from the glenoid and out it popped. Popped it back in place, went to local E.R. for x-rays to confirm I did pop it back in and now Im putzing around in the garage w the Gen1. CT scan Monday where my care team is (out of State) and maybe will have my revision surgery bumped up from May 13th.
On a positive note,Hospitals ALWAYS HAVE THE BEST PAIN DRUGS

I've got AirTags in all my stuff. Even my bicycle.

As an insurance adjuster I deal with thefts. An officer once told me his theory about "layers of an onion." Layer one: Lock your doors. Layer two: set an alarm. Type of thing.

Layer three: drive an older Ram...

What, no 4th layer of keeping your gun trained on your possessions?

Recently a person was found not guilty in the shooting of an intruder....even our premier (same as your governor) expressed that the home owner should have shot the intruder again.......perhaps there's hope for us Canadian folk afterall......

I really hope that goes in your favor and you get the procedure sooner rather than later....

Either way it's going to eat into your riding season unfortunately....
Riding seasons here is 11mos outta the year, could be 12mos long, but I'm a Diva and quit riding in 40-50f weather 15yrs ago lol. It's just way too hot and humid from mid-April through October sometimes November. I wear ATGATT so I'd have a heat stroke in the summer when it's 95-100f w 95% humidity with full leathers on lol

If all goes well (fingers crossed) I'm looking at 12-16wks of PT which would put me right around end of September which will give me enought time to have the Gen1 tuned and 100% for the cooler-ish weather in the Fall/Winter

I've been familiar with all the Honda sportbikes since the late 80's, and they were always just a CBR here, followed by whatever engine displacement.
If that isn't true...then I grew up in the same alternate timeline that you did, and we somehow got here...because I'de never heard of a 'Fireblade' until a few years ago...

Im with both of ya it's always been CBR here in the States;I used to read the popular British performance bike magazines back in the early 90s and they were the ones who referred to the CBR's as Fire blades and I believe that's how Honda marketed them in the U.K. They also had a few weird names for a few other popular bikes at the time but can't quite remember. I think the Brits referred to the ZX-11 as a Zed-X 11 and the 5-valve FZR's as Genesis (even though that was Yamaha's name for the 5-V mill)
If we wanna get technical, the 1st Honda CBR's that were released were the CBR600F &CBR1000F Hurricane's back in 1987.

My buddy bought a new '87 white/red Hurricane 600 and damn that thing was fast for a 600!!! It was just about dead even with my '87 GSXR-750 w V&H full system&jetted stock carbs w individual K&N filters(pods). That 600 had a very impressive top end for sure. Another guy w rode w had the 1000 Hurricane but it was very heavy and no match for the '87 GSXR-1100 that was also in our group
