Everyone is born and then dies, and hopefully during the living part, get to make their own decisions about their personal health and wellbeing.

The title of this thread is
"What are you looking forward to?"
Who here is actually looking forward to more politics and drama...really?
In Australia we rarely talk about politics, what's the point, it's not like they aren't all corrupt and working for the multinational corporations. I saw this thread and though of the summer months ahead, thought of riding my bikes to places unknown, thought of reorganizing my downstairs workshops and of visiting my Sister up North. What do I find, politics.

Discussing politics is futile. Much like religion. It's our moral fibers disagreeing on stuff. It's not like anybody's going to change their opinion, so we bicker. I've found what works is do what works for you. It's simpler than it sounds. Our opinions mean jack.

Looking forward to:

I've been working two territories for +/- two years (average month 2,500 miles). Just got a new co-worker. Woot!

Wife's last job had gotten silly so she left. After a month off, she accepted an offer that she is excited about. Woohoo!

A traveling job would be fun I recon. I've never done one aside from a short stint selling pager systems back in the late seventies and that was city travel only. Pagers, lol, they were the bees knees for a few years, especially the ones with the alpha numeric message readouts. Our company wasn't big but it had a huge computer in a glass walled air conditioned room right in the middle of the floor and the Electronics Engineer had a corner office with a better view than the CEO. He got the prime office because it faced the mountains where the transmitters were and he had some dishes on the outside wall. A lot of money there for a few short years.

Or. . . Ham-fisted radios..
It’s not actually something to joke about, it’s deadly serious but they got the job done.
Ham fisted radios? Are those radios for those lacking in grace?

Looking forward to Mowing the lawn. We had 40mm last night and more on the way so I'm going to scalp off the Winter top and let it all regrow. Nothing like soft green grass underfoot.

Just another day’s riding like the 168 miles today and the 170 yesterday.
Hi. Just thing soon we will have cameras every where. It will cut down on speeding because they will send you a ticket by mail. They should lower the speed limets to 15 mph city and 40 mph hi way. It will help save childrens lives. They should also put cameras in the homes to make sure that no laws are broken and all the children are safe.

Go to some European countries and you will see a lot of cameras......

In the future, they won't need cameras to slow people down, the vehicle will automatically adjust itself to the speed limit...

I've seen documentaries where this is being tested already....it's easy to do with modern vehicles downloading data each day....

Not over me.....
My car and bike insurance actually gives a handsome discount for monitoring driver habits. Not to mention, I am not subscribed.

"Not over me...."

You will be surprised about the influence your neighbor yields over what happens up North.

Indirectly maybe......but my day to day life won't be affected by a US political party....

Now the crappy Canadian political party currently in power is a whole other thing.....
