Fortunately, I don't have to worry about tickets here in Germany. Most of the areas on the autobahn (highway) where I might do high speed runs are not limited. With that, I can run it until the rev-limiter screams in 6th.

I guess we have some funny guys here that don't believe anything. Well I get it & don't care what you believe. I don't have time for lies or people that say this is crazy only because you haven't done X, Y or Z. No worries sharing time is over I guess if it didn't happen at Middletown Dunkin it did not happen.

165 mph in a 60 mph zone in March 2005.
Free ride to jail. About 3000 dollars in Attorney fee's. 1 week in jail at a later date.
1000 fine, but attorney kept it all off my records.
So I imagine you didn't get a speeding ticket. Were you charged with dangerous driving? How long did you lose your license for?

I keep my riding limited to sane speeds, don't want to lose my license, pay thousands of dollars in fines, go to jail or end up getting killed. If I were in Germany or some other country where I could legally ride that fast maybe, but in my neck of the woods there's just to many deer, crappy roads, idiot drivers in cars and cops to ride that much over the speed limit.in PA you'd probably get nailed for wreckless driving, arrested, license suspension and thousands of dollars in fines, court costs and lawyer fees so not worth it to me.

THAT is the key to it.....some people haven't learned that lesson and act the fool in places where they shouldn't.
I hate to be a fuddy duddy but I learned my lesson. The lesson is you go fast where there's the least danger and that's the track. OK, I have broken the law breaking in my new ZX-14R but when I have it done, I'm playing it cool on the road. I avoided getting arrested a few times in the past. I really could be dead after my crash in 2022. I played the odds out to the end and I've had enough. For me, it's not worth the anxiety getting in the way of the fun. I'll go to a closed course racing event and spend the few thousand bucks a year. That's the price of owning 200 mph bikes. Did it on the road, came close to dying and decided I want to live and live a stable life for a long while longer. You young folks want to play the odds, I hope you learn before you die or get seriously f-ed up. Could post the video of a certain person I know who did almost 180 mph on the public roads but I figure if you're like me and you're still alive and without legal problems and work problems and family problems, you're the best example. Just go to a closed course event where you probably will avoid all this. It's the cost of owning a bike that will go 0-160 in 12 seconds. If you can resist the temptation, enjoy the bike on the road legally.

Exactly......there are times when I go for a ride and end up riding under the speed limit as I'm just enjoying the day...I wave at the police when I pass them and they smile and wave back....

It makes no sense for an old guy on a black and yellow bike to do anything too stupid as I'm easy to pick out of a crowd...
