I read something today that 2 strokes might be coming back to MotoGP....technology has made them very efficient and emission friendly....

That RZ in that van sure looks pristine...

It’s a euro version and an RD not RZ. Which is interesting as it looks exactly like my 85 Rz did.

Our '81 in Canada was an RD350 before they changed the to RZ designation.

I recall even the RZ500 was an RD in Europe...

I miss the 'ol Ring Ding sometimes...

Hickman did a 133.7mph lap qualifying. That’s average speed over a 37.7 mile course. Hit 199mph in some spots. Holy wow!
Michael Dunlop is also on fire!

That RD 350 is absolutely a cool thing.
But I don’t think that two stroke will ever come back, not in MotoGP, not elsewhere. Two stroke is just burning oil, there’s no euro 5 that can match that.
If that ever becomes emission friendly, diesel will sooner be drinkable

A little light reading on what they are thinking of...this engine will have little resemblance to what's in that RZ350...

Dunlop set a new record today with a 135.5mph lap!!! Holy sheet!

Watching the recap of todays qualifying and the announcer said so far this week Michael Dunlop (and most certainly others) has done over 27 laps thru practice and qualifying. On a 37.7 mile course that’s over 1000 miles at full throttle race speeds! Frickin incredible!!

The race between Harrison, Hickman and Dunlop is going to be a barn burner. Gobsmacked that Dunlop did that lap on a Honda that no one in WSBK can produce on.

On Saturday The sidecar lap record was broken at 120.3 mph on a 600cc with 2 persons

i will just say Hickman had to pump the front brake 3 times before every corner - BMW front end was shaking so badly it pushed the brake pistons away from discs.

Heartbreaker for Hickman, heard his QS quit during the race and he still just missed out on the outright lap record en route to 2nd place. Dunlop racks up his 23rd TT win amazing!

yes QS was playing up , but as Hickey said it gets a bit hairy going into every corner with no brakes
