Biden will eat his pudding, read from the teleprompter, stumble over his words, and put on his best Clint Eastwood persona...so basically like any other day.
Meanwhile, who knows what the great and powerful Oz will do...pay no attention to that man behind the curtain...

Biden and NATO...hopefully they use it wisely...

There have been NATO boots on the ground in the Ukraine for years now.

I'm no big fan of "Mother Russia" but know they aren't to be trifled with. All this NATO build up will put pressure on Putin to react.....either in our favor or otherwise.
8500 troops being moved in. That's a drop in the lake. But will make for a statement if Russia invaded. The UN will probably step in if they take out multinational NATO troops.

8500 troops plus aircraft being repositioned, weapon systems being moved in, sea fleets being repositioned, the list goes on and on.

The UN hasn't any teeth and by the time Russia ramped up to full invasion, they will move fast and hard. Hopefully this never becomes a reality.

I found it odd to see a report the Spetsnaz were moved into the area as their movements are generally secret...this could be a further scare tactic by the Russians.

F-18s have been flying around the clock here. I think they deployed because it stopped all of a sudden. They are even using Fentress field, which means getting in those last night carrier landing practice runs.

No way if there is going to be shooting we won't have people in the theater observing the Russian tactics. Also weapons capabilities and maybe even flying against the Russian pilots.

Support via approve any more formal declarations against Russia.

Sanctions, blockades, countermeasures. And if all else fails, military engagement.

What if Putin just turns the gas off in Europe?

Was watching a video and a Russian said "the American stealth is very very good. But they still show up as a target the size of a goose. Now if only the Americans can explain how a goose is going 1,200 Kph they would be invisible."

Hi. What has set the stage for all of this? Pipe lines and drilling in the US shout down by Biden. More money for Russia from gas and oil. Does any one here think that Biden is a strong president. How much money has Biden and his son Hunter made from dealings with China and Russia?

If this were all taking place by some other large. powerful country against the United States, what would be the outcome?

If Russia amassed large numbers of troops and equipment near Iraq before the first US invasion, and then saber rattled if the US invaded Iraq, there would be repercussions......this all paints a country's leader into a corner.

If the US and NATO had rock-solid evidence Russia was 100% planning an invasion of Ukraine, the sanctions would have already been engaged. Eastern Ukraine has been engaged in war-like conditions for years and years...open fighting on the streets...where was the west when this was started?

UN: We're not going in. Besides, isn't Ukraine already part of the Soviet Union?
NATO: Oh no this is your thing. Besides, we haven't perfected our socially distant fighting tactics yet.
CNN: Well someone is going in there or we'll call you all names!

Seriously, this is either really bad or a big show to cover the diplomatic solution they already have. Sometimes the threat of armageddon can be a convincing argument! Nothing like gunboat diplomacy.

Even the Ukrainian leadership is asking for everyone to calm down......or do all the conspiracy theorists think the Russians have already implanted their own government into Ukraine?

I have a buddy of mine who retired from the military and got a job in an office where he is the only man and about 20 ladies....he said he'd rather be back in combat most days...they are always at each other but oddly enough leave him alone...

Well I'm glad to see some of the member nations stepping up. Moving assets within striking range of Ukraine. Finally acting like a team.

That piece I attached had some good points...NATO was developed to counter the Soviet Union and now that the Soviet Union is no more, what is the purpose of NATO?

It even went so far as to ask Russia to become a member which is an interesting twist.

The issue I see with the current "rallying of the nations" is they are all rallying against Russia which is led by a man who doesn't back down...they may force him into acting just so he can save face in front of his nation.

What’s that saying? Keep your friends close and your enemies closer?
