Anybody purchased/tested the WindSlayer? Supposed to be a licensed product from GP. Don't see it on there official website. Lots of them all over Ebay. 6 or 7 buck all the way up to 60 dolla... for a foam "sock."
Anybody do their own mod to cut wind noise? Wind noise is way less when I turn my head slightly sideways (helmet mounted GP) but I refuse to ride with my head cocked. (don't go there) :D Guess I'll order from China via ebay, maybe wait 2-3 months for my very own piece of foam.
Get out there boyz...go GoPro sumfin.:super:

Made this using the GoPro software and the GoPro 7 mounted on the chin mount. I think you get a really good POV from the chin mount. The sound is a lot better too on the chin mount because it is behind the screen (although GoPro rejected my sound, #$^%&#). I know, Busa site and you guys hate BMW's and the arses who ride them, but I really love this bike.

PS: Gopro edits the scenes automatically so I guess they don't used scenes with the speedo in the illegal range.....

Awesome dude!
That didn’t take long eh, usually 3 to 4 weeks
for stuff to get to NZ, anywho, looks good, let me know how it performs... I need to sort my GoPro sound too, way too much wind noise in my vids.

To Kiwi and all. The foam thingy cuts wind noise a bit,but nothing spectacular.
The wind noise fix continues for me.

I shall try this low-tech solution for us 2morrow. Unless someone beats me to it. (too late 4 me now,1AM) beddy bye time. :D
The goal is to hear motor noise, but cut the wind howl.
Pic 1 shows mic locale on a GP 7

If it works I shall tweak & mod and make something that looks cool too.
Peace all,

I'm going to guess you get flapping with your wind shield. This is the solution Rubb. Use this and place the mic in a sheltered location down wind. You will need the 3,5 adaptor for a gp7 or 8, but you can solve the problem for $100. There are quite a few options for a variety of budgets.

Its pure wind noise that I'm trying to stop. When I go helmet mounted its nasty. Chest mounted its better.I dont know for sure if my dub-L bub-L flaps that much, hadn't thought about that. I know I'm prolly not going to get perfect at warp factor 5 speed. I will check into those links you gave me.Thanks man. For now,I'll have to try the tape and a piece of thin cardboard. Rubb's wallet is thin.
Thanks bro,I knew you or one of the other GP Guru's would have our answer.
My GP seems to have other issues as well. Today it recorded upside down. Then it recorded right side up,but the info was upside down.
IDK brother.
