Org member took advantage of me

I'm sorry it's come to this. I was kind enough to help out an org member in need based upon promises now broken. I wont name him or call him out here but I'm hoping if he reads this it may guilt him into making things right. We are now talking about close to $900 owed and not paid. I've been patient, I've listened, I've understood his position in life and agreed to wait and wait and wait and wait for more than a year. Now no more returned calls, no returned texts, no activity, nada. This is most certainly my last desire to air out my troubles here. I only do it because the person I refer to is and has been an upstanding (?) member here for a while. Based upon his posts and thoughts I myself thought he was a better person. I am not 100% convinced in my belief he has completely screwed me but it is beginning to appear this way. Maybe thru the orgs willpower we can convince him to make this right for me. So I come to y'all for advice.

I always cringe at the thought of "loaning" money to anyone. It can kill a relationship. Either I help than in any other way or gift them some money. It may not be the complete amount but even a little may help. I can understand your frustration when the communication breaks down. That's when the whole situation goes down hill.

All I can tell you is that I've always loved to help people out any which way I can.

There are many people here that check in, read + learn and eventually help one another. There is no reason to take advantage of a good situation for a short term gain...now that it is in the open hopefully the issue will be corrected.

I always try to avoid loaning money. If I do loan money, I hate when people avoid me later. $900 is a lot to go without. Sometimes there is a good explanation and they are to embarassed to tell you. Still, the guy needs to make amends.
