Guess it is just me getting old.:banghead:

No, it's people not giving a crap about other people's property anymore. There's a Brixx pizza near here and they have a little area right up front where you can park. No designated parking spaces, just a little area up front. I went with my cousin one night (we both rode) and parked up front. My bike was literally 5-6 inches from the curb. We got a table right by the huge window up front so I could see the bike. A couple and their kids walked out and one of the kids steps off the curb and is standing between the curb and my bike. And I'm not exaggerating at all about the 5-6 inches. Parents didn't do anything about it. Didn't go get him or anything. Just called for him when they got a little farther away, headed to their car.

too bad you couldn't rig a tad bit of constant voltage throughout the bike to replace the audible alarm. sort of like a cow fence but a steady stream.

Well at least you know your system works. You can forget respect, manners, or authority. People are always looking at my bike, always coming out and finding hand and finger prints everywhere. Usually the small kids that do all the touching. Wouldn't like it if I found someone sitting on my ride. Wished I had the 220 gauges, the guys are always leaned in looking at that speedo

see, i am usually the biggest and burliest, and defiantly the meanest person in the place i am at. lol! 265lbs of pissed of US soldier with a lot of PTSD does not go well with anyone sitting on my bike. and since i am always deployed, when i get home for the short periods of time i do, i am usually very battle fatigued. bad combo for people to piss me off, lol! good call on the alarm though, i will be putting one on this year, when i finally get home.

I woulda found the biggest burly guy in the place and paid him $50 to run out of the place in an angry rage yelling "who's f'n with my bike!!??". Then just sit back and watch the show.

No need for a big burly guy. After a couple of drinks his wife Heidi would go out and take care of business!

You aren't allowed to punish them anymore and they know it.

"What's wrong with kids these days?"

That's what my Dad used to say....and i believe that's what HIS Dad used to say...

I'm thinking the cavemen might have had their own version of it....

Back on topic...i am happy for you that your alarm gives you peace of mind. Money well spent for that alone in my book.

Yes, but that just means they're getting progressively worse (in general) obviously you'll always have some of the few who had parents who raised them right and who actually respected the parenting they received. But the majority....

Once again, back on topic... How adjustable is the distance on the proximity sensor? The website just says "adjustable."

Lol Ogre, I am a guy and a straight one at that! No Boxsters in my garage. I would not have complained if she was sitting on a Boxster as she would have hidden a considerable amount of it from view!
