Ok so.... If the bike is off and I pull the clutch in and move the bike, there is a clanking and the chain jerks kinda like a kink but it happens every foot or so the bike moves. if i put the bike in neutral, it doesnt do it. just in 1st and 2nd.

Also, I noticed that when the bike is running, there is a barely audible noise coming from my right ankle (where you put the oil in) only when the clutch is pulled in.

Any ideas?

umm....no? i didnt know there was a recall

think it was more of a TSB than a recall, but mine was chattering, the clutch bolts in the 08s didnt get any thread locker. and they can/will back out.

Sounds like you need to pull the cover and check the bolts before they back out and crater on you.

My first bike didn't need it, but my second one did.

Thanks Kromeo, I was looking for that too.:beerchug:

Keven, check your S/N and see if you are in the range for the recall bulletin.

My first one was older and did not require it, but the second one I bought was within the range and the dealer gave me a receipt that showed the work had been done. You have to ask, because they certainly don't give up this bit of info.

I would probably go ahead check the bolts out anyway, just for peace of mind, and to eliminate that as the source.

Good luck, and see you soon Ya hoon!

Well i removed the cover and all the bolts were < hand tight. took em out and put some thread sealer on them and put them back in. in the process i snapped one of the little bolts that screw into the bigger ones. apparently they cant handle 16 ft/lb torque. will order one in the morning and get it by wednsday
