Well folks?..1st things 1st...a public thankyou is in order 4 Blanca Busa (who also helped out Russ from wyoming) by lining us up with "Broward Motosports" in WPB FL for some killer service and pricing on New Dunlop Q2's..Thanks Saiid!

it should also be noted that although the timing didn't work out?..Blanca offered to meet me there, pick me up and head out to breakfast for sumptin ta do while Oren was gettin new shoes..but i think he was just hungry. :poke:

and now...onto my final Q2 report..

While I prolly coulda squoze 5K miles out of these tires?..but at 4,200 they were solidly tagging the wear bars on the rear buuuuutttt...the cool thing is..these tires seemed to preform as well as like the day i gotem too the day i replaced'em (today)..spectacular...to the point that it wasn't even a question what my old Q2's would be replaced with..new Q2's.

My riding style i would say is about 90-95% "Aggressive Commuting"...5-10% cuttin up on group rides...no burnouts..proper pressures well maintained...(gotta compressor in the garage)...and?..i'm usta getting anything from 3K-5K outta a set of anything..Bridgestones, Metzelers, Michelins.whatever..and believe it or not?..if you ride the busa in an aggressive fashion?..you don't gain much milage (not down here in fl anyways) by going to a less safe, harder compound, supposedly high milage "Spot/Touring" type of tire..and why?..3 reasons...

1. Elevated road temps (and the racing compounds deal with this better...they were engineered for such abuse)

2. Sustained High Speeds and again?..."the racing compounds deal with this better...they were engineered for such abuse"

and finally?..

3. Un-intensional (at times "un-noticed") "Wheelspin"...with the busa's mighty torque factor?...you may not even notice your harder compound ST'ing tire Spinning on hard take-offs at stop signs and lit intersections..they just break loose...and powders that shid right off the middle...and you never even knew..as they also will break loose soon on heavy braking..giving up safety for what?..but?..That's jmho.

Well folks?..that pretty much sums it up..no other tire was even a consideration..l8R, Bill.

Times like this I wish I still smoked though cuz a carton of Marlboro Reds on Lufthansa planes as well as in Duty Free store in Frankfurt were 19 Euros which is about $24.00 Bucks. Now go figure that one .
And yes they were USA produce not Euro licensed !

you'll luv'em dude..they're so sticky yet predictable they seem to always beg you to keep leaning further and further...no fear...total control..and you get ta feel like superman with each and every ride..these are the 1st tires i've ever owned where i can actually feel when the edge is coming..very soft motogp compound on the sides...awesome performance for a john q. sport tire. to Dunlop.

cause now when the cellphone chattering cage zombies see me come rippin through the intersecs at full pancake?...i'm even confident enough to glance over and see the smiles and expressions..especially the younger ones who are like...

pretty good feelin..ain't no speed limit on a corner...just the posted..or?..wreckless driving if....it wasn't so freaking obvious that you got things well in hand and?..obviously know how ta ride..as the hate turns more towards envy and admiration...even in the eyes of johnny law...they know the good riders from the bad when they see'im.

they work great. i was running them in the novice and intermidiate groups at the track yesterday back to back. Probably about 4 hours or so of pretty hard riding. They held up great! Two thumbs up from me.

Hey Bill, I'm happy to see how pleased you are with your Q's. It took a while to coach you into the first set but I was quite sure you'd never go back to PP's if you tried the Q's.

I got my friend GregBob off his beloved PP's and onto the Q's some time back and he also loves them. I chased his arse around the track for a few sessions yesterday and he's a hard one to spank on those Q's. May have been a mistake getting him off those PP's caust the ornery bugger is getting fast!

I had BTO16's on my scooter and they worked quite well but I did loose the front once after I let Greg get some distance on me in traffic. I was trying like hell to catch the sorry bastid and to much throttle while laid over on her lips and the front says fook this and we were two thirds of the way across the track before I could get her hooked up again.

Given a choice in street tires, I'd still choose the Q2 above any other street tire. They work so wonderfully well and are so forgiving when you make a mistake. You can abuse the hell out of them and they just keep right on truckin!

Glad to see you are having fun on your Q2's! :beerchug:

Not to thread jack here folks, but this guy (Gary) is a better than average joe on two wheels. I had the pleasure of spending the past couple of days in Spokane with him. Although we got rained out on Thursday, I spent almost the entire day with Gary on Friday. Fun guy to hang out with and fun to spend a track day with as well!

I hope we see him back for another visit this season! :beerchug:

Oh,,,,,,,,,, and I want his trailer!

you flatter me, i still have much to learn and Friday was definitely a step in the right direction. I can all but guarantee we'll get together again this summer, never can tell with the air force... and that trailer is pretty cool till you calculate your fuel mileage lol.

seriously though we should only be promoting this tire in private, once everyone figures out how great they are we won't be picking them up for $200 a set.

dude...

"Hey Bill, I'm happy to see how pleased you are with your Q's. It took a while to coach you into the first set..."

i think you have me confused with someone else cause...

The ONLY reason Oren wound up doning her 1st set of Dunlop Qualifiers (the Q1's) was because..

A. At that time?..Michelin had a massive recall on their pilot motorcycle tires and were totally off every shelf and unobtainium...and?..

B. i got the set M&B'ed for $275 and?...was sad that i hadta settle for freaking dunlops....right up until?..

i started doing some slalom manuveurs to scuff'em in and was like...holy shid...these puppies can hang! LOL!

then reported my new found glee and results here to h.org...but?...whatever...it's been what?...5 years now we've been goin back and forth?

cause we both now that for a couple old squids who somehow managed to survive ourselves that..we rock? :poke:

aldzheimers..it doesn't just hurt the ones afflicted.
