Cycle Hill tire changer plug

Just wanted to let anyone who may have been considering a Cycle Hill (made by No Mar) Tire Changing machine know the money is well worth it. I picked one up this week, arrived on my door step the very next day. Got it installed in the garage and did 1 dismount and 2 mounts in about 20 minutes last night. I ordered the yellow thing which makes it super easy to keep the bead down, lube the tire and rim up real good with their included vegetable-based product and the tires give very little resistance to going on. So anyone thinking about pulling the trigger on one of these and saving over $200 over the cost of a NoMar - do it!

Ummm....it's basically a No Mar product, almost identical to their $600 changer. Made by them, just sold under a different name. I was told they ship every day if ordered before 1pm CST (if I remember correctly). Mine arrived on Tuesday, ordered Monday. Just took me a couple days before I got around to putting it together and trying it out. I have enough friends that ride and pay the dealers $40/shoe to do theirs that it will quickly pay for itself not to mention no more damaged rims.

how did you warm up your tires before mounting them?

I have a No-Mar, and after looking at this, this is a very good choice for people to buy.
I works on the same princable as the No-Mar with out the cost!

I do way too many tires and i think mine will hold up better!
I've done over a hundred sets of tires with mine!

Warm up the tires?? No need, just lube them good with the included stuff they sent and they slipped right over the lip of the wheel! I do have a heated garage but the tire was sitting in my other garage which I was not heating for the past month just prior to installing.

Did you also get the balancer?

Negative, I use dyna beads and recycle them from my old tires into the new ones - never paid for a balance job since the first 3 oz of them I purchased.

I'd be very shocked if this sucker ever broke, it's built like a brickhouse. The few wearing parts are easily replaced and aren't much different from the regular No Mar (tips and wheel rollers). Everything else is solid steel and they did a quality job on the welding and finish of the changer. I looked at the reg. No Mar last year but for the 20 or so changes I'll do in each year for myself and friends I didn't see any sense in buying the full monte. I'll follow up in a year or so and see how she's holding up but I don't see any weak points in the design.
