Wow...billet helmet

It looks neat for sure, but that's a lot of work to put into a non-functional helmet.

Besides......it's got that funny visor on it. :laugh:
 
It looks smaller than a real helmet.
In the end of vid you see 50th logo on it like it is a commemorative or something.
While the helmet is neat what I was watching were the two machines work in unison to
create it. Thats awesome...
The video was time lapse. Anybody with exp with machines close to that have an idea as
to how long that actually took. You can count at least four diff bits. Had to be a long time...???
Anyway very interesting. Like one of my fav shows 'How do they do it'..

that same company has a video of building a billet LS1 block. that was rad.
 
I agree. Un-freaking-believable!

I wish they would rent time on a machine like that. You come up with a design of whatever part you need (of course, they give you software for free), upload there, and then go watch how the machine cuts your part, or just go pick up when it's done.

Cool any way you look at it.
