Howdy guys, day two comes to a close, and the wifi is slow so bear with me please. Was the best day of the whole trip. We got to see Utah, New Mexico, and Arizona today. We started the day at McDonalds, and then headed West on 160 to Cortez. The weather was perfect and the roads were great. We stopped at a local Casino in the Ute Indian Reservation to get some water and chill out for a few minutes.

We then continued West on 160 to the 4 corners monument. Lo and behold we hit road construction in the middle of the desert. Thank the Lord it was cool, we shut the bikes off and waited our turn. Other than this minor set back, the roads were fast and not a whole of traffic.

GLad you guys/gals are having fun:thumbsup: keep the pics comin!

We are, thanks bro. More pics. We got through the road construction and with no traffic we got to see some triple digits on some smooth road. The monument was really cool. The snow cones and Navajo flat bread was yummy. Let me tell you, this place is in the middle of NOwhere! I have never been out in the open desert before, that was pretty cool.

My black tank (well dark grey) almost always has a tank bag on it. No scratches. Just gotta keep the tank and the bag clean. No worries man! I love how careful you are though, that is totally something I would do!

Seriously, no other sport bikes? Just Beemers and Harleys and the occasional Goldwing.

Now we head back to Cortez to look for some lunch. We found this cool little brewery right on 160, great food. Will have to put that one in the archives. Before we left there were about 6 Beemer adventure riders that pulled up, 2 with trailers. We then had to figure out what we wanted to do for the rest of the day. It was about 1:00 and way to early to head back to Durango. So we decided to make the loop again, but in the opposite direction. This time it was about the roads, so we made some incredible time across 145 to Telluride.

We stopped to rest in Telluride and got and ice cream. There was dude on a bicycle that was riding from Phoenix to Chicago. Wow, with that information we decided we werent so tired after all. Off went, next stop Ouray. Guys, if you have never been in the high country, you need to go up there, it is awe inspiring. Quick stop in Ouray for some fuel and then off again.

I hate you guys!:rulez: Looks like the twins are out having some fun! :cheerleader: Have more fun and be safe!:beerchug: Get in a few corners for me too!

We stopped again just north of Silverton on 550 at the Red Mountain Mining Project. The placards really tell a neat story of the mining projects and how deep into the mountains the mines go. Oh look, snow to play in. Dont eat the yellow snow, the rest is ok.
