I could use an honest opinion. I am either going to buy the AR10 or DPMS sass . which -ever will have the heavy barrel. I would like a flash hidder and optics.. what is your opinion ..? 300-600 yrds shots would be nice . Thanks

I have an AR-10 with a SS bull barrel, topped with a 4X32 ACOG (has BDC out to 800 meters). It eats anything I load into it without complaints. I LOVE my Armalite and it shoots way better that what I am capable of doing. In the right hands I know it would shoot sub MOA.
That being said,....My only complaint is it needs to have factory Armalite magzines! Which can be expensive and hard to find.
The DPMS is a great gun and way cheaper than the AR10. The other cool thing about the DPMS is they can use the new 308 P-Mags. The AR10 can't (without modding).
You won't be dissapointed which ever you choose.
Probably the most important consideration is optics anyway (for the reach out and touch factor).
7.62X51 is a great round with lots of down range energy.

cant go wrong with either.
the ar10 would probably hold value a little better, but the 7.62 ar's seem to hold their value pretty well anymay.
if you find you dont like either you could get another upper and try it. the lower wont affect accuracy.
