The trucks I was talking about were used. There's a particular used truck I really want there. Just figuring how to get it is the hard part.

Trick is , don't be in a hurry and remember pickups are a dime a dozen.

Know what your trade is worth and know what you want to buy is worth.

Never discuss payments and how much you can afford.

Walk out if they insult you with a low ball offer, they are just playing games, you don't have time for.

There are good dealers out there, usually in small communities. Ask the salesman how long he has worked at the dealership you shop.

Shop online first, if they make you a decent offer online, go by and try to make a deal.

I was trying earlier to trade in my Chevy truck. After an hour or so, they really low balled me. They knew an hour ago what they were gonna offer, why make me wait? It's such BS! I about pimpsmacked the salesman as he was telling me the offer. It just seems I'm always just that little bit far enough behind that anything I want is out of reach.

I've had it with the whole auto industry. I tell them I want a Chevy 4dr 1500 series fullsize 2wd truck and all they show me is all their 4wd's they have. It's all games. I tell them again, the salesguy goes to his manager, the manager comes back with an offer for "What I'm looking for". Tell's me "I have a guy bringing it around front". Yep, a 4dr, sunroofed, fully loaded........ FOUR WHEEL DRIVE!!!
A 2500 series at that. WTF!!!!!! He then tells me that I can switch the transfercase into 2wd mode and it's the same thing. NO, it's not. The fuel mileage can prove that. I live in northern Va and have NO use for 4wd, EVER. Unless I'm goofing offroad or something. Sure there's snowdays here and there, but that's so once in a while that it doesn't matter.

I'm just floored and tired of the BS runaround with dealerships.

It was like when I bought my busa. I drove 4 hours away for a much better deal and no B.S. All the dealers here wouldn't come close to the deal I had over the phone with the dealer 4 hours away. So after I bought the bike, I went back and parked my new bike in front of there show room. They lost another bike deal from me again to another dealer!! There loss!!!
