I'd have to go with wreck the bike. Pets are irreplaceable, just as any other LIFE! So no, the bike can always be repaired/replaced...

For a small animal.. ANY small animal I would hit the brakes and that is it.. No way I am going to drop my bike and hurt myself for any small animal even a pet. I have seen pictures of a bike/rider at 25 MPH and how bad it can go at that slow of speeds. I HAD a friend hit a pole at 35 MPH because he was trying to miss a racoon. It left him pretty messed up and unable to ride ever again.

The real question is what would your family rather see.

1.)Your cat safe and sound and you with anything from a broken bone to not having you here at all.

2.)Your cat gets hurt/killed and you are fine and actually able to drive to the pet store to get another one?

Shame on all of you guys would would say you would rather lay your bike down then hit an animal. I could care less about the bike or the damage to it. You can not tell me that 100% of the time someone lays their bike down they come out with just bruises and to take that chance over an animal is just crazy. I wonder if that cat will step up and take care of your families if something bad happends to you when you lay that bike down? poke.gif

well sorry to say but most likely the animal is going to perish... I know more than one guy that has lived to regret throwing a bike down to avoid an animal.. (they hit the thing anyway for what its worth).. if you are unable to avoid hitting the thing, crashing is not likely to do much good either.. I am not going to risk my own skin for an animal that was not tied up..
