Forced water drinking was one of the torture devices used in mideveal days, but they new 2 gallons was the limit or killing your subject became likely. It induces a natural fear of drowning plus causes a drunken feeling in the subject. It is still used by the way... Not a good plan for a radio contest I think. Most people do not know they can die from too much water untill something like this happens.
