Why is the stiff throttle ????

On my 2000 Busa
I had to change the switch on the right side witch would have the start button the kill switch and the throttle cables hooked in to it
I removed the busted one and installed a new one but for
some reason the throttle handle be came so stiff that it wont
return to idle when I let go Is there any tricks to it perhaps
I overlooking something ?? All your advice would be appreciated

I have the 04 and had the same problem when i switched my grips, there should be either 2 screws or hand screws on the cables. you have to loosen them and back off the tension and then retighten them in the new position. Remember that when you turn the handle bars that the tension will increase so you have to give enough play so when you turn it doesnt put you in the same problem... if you dont understand this you can give me a call and I will try to walk you through it... its easier to talk you through it then write you thru it.. just let me know.. its really easy to do
