War is a big business cycle... it involves many companies and resources to start.... consumes natural resources at a rate that exceeds peace time economic activity... and when it is over then the plans are made to clean in up and sometimes even rebuild it all. Each phase of it has backroom deals and kickbacks to the delight of more than a few politicians. Marine General Smedley Butler spoke of it a few times.

After combing through the stories and evidence since 2005 it is my opinion ( just an opinion ) that it was contrived and organized by people we know and some people we will never know.
It was another one of those "never let a crisis go to waste" grade A performances. All the pieces were in place and the main players that were involved that day pulled it off with very few mistakes at the outset. However, as time passes and you learn more about who knew what in advance of the crime things start to change. Its when we find way to many circumstantial facts to think it was a mastermind in a cave halfway around the world commanding 20 hijackers. ( one hijacker was late for his plane, what are the odds of that happening ? ) It was said only 19 were involved but even that "official story" version has some issues when some of the names and faces match people living back in the ME and having a normal life as an employee somewhere.
Just look at the expression of Bush's face after he gets the news in the school room in Texas. That is the look of deep contemplation mixed with anxiety and fear.
