How about air suspension for the rear. It's adjustable and the compressor would be easy to hide. Wardie

Why not just run a strut? Thats what I did, no more bottom out problem....

Not sure how much you want to modify it, but you can buy an extended tail section. The one I have it for 6-8 over, you can keep the hump or seat and still leave it lowered as low as you like. Now, I have not installed mine yet so it is not on the bike in these pics.
