Hi everyone, Im a new Busa owner and trying to learn how to wheelie this beast. I have been told by several busa ownners to cut my pink wire as they say it retards the fuel injection when it senses the front tire is off the ground. Is there a trick to keeping this front tire up, I have dropped a tooth off my front sprocket but am still having problemns.I know this is an old topic but any help would be appreciated. My local dealer stated he would not void my warrenty if i cut the wire.

Law Dog,

You missed the guy in Daytona doing standing wheelies on his Busa. This guy could ride them as long as he wanted!!

Unfortunately, if you are a U.S. rider THEN DON'T CUT THE PINK WIRE.

Euro (English) models don't have the same problem as the U.S. ones namely cutting the "Pink" wire actually richens up the bike and not leans it up as with U.S. models.

My wire has been cut for a long time and I ride real hard (700 miles out of a rear tyre) and to day the bike is as sweet as when I first picked it up over a year ago.

Have e real nice day.

Law Dog read the front end of this site, the Busa is not a GSXR1100 or a TLR1000.

optional on-off pink wire:

you can cut pink wire, install on off switch;

I found it "richens" efi, not a good idea?

The pink wire tells the ECU what gear your in. The ECU then selects one of 6 fuel maps to determine injector duration. In the back of the shop manual are wirefarme diagrams of the fuel maps. All six are distinctly different.

If the pink wire is cut the ECU program assumes 1st gear.

Better to get a PC2 and tune it properly.
