I still just shack my head when I see the video.......
I still don't understand how it happens!
I have been do'in wheelie's for 35 years and I have never had a bike "Tank Slap"..
I have flipped a bike when I was young and didn't know what a rear brake was, but never had a bike on the street or dirt act like that.
All I can say is Squid!!!!

There are several things that can cause a tank slapper. You never know when one will happen

I looked like the guy changed lanes as it was coming down (bike on a angel)
Exactly,

- AND if you look at before he comes into frame...the guy in front of him was riding on the far right side of the left lane, and as the wheelie guy came down that lane, - he was planning on letting it down and going in the lane to the right of the other rider, - but the other rider also had slowly and sloppily drifted over to the right lane, and thus was in the path of the wheelie guy.

So the wheelie guy put the front end down with a teeensy bit too much turned to the right in anticipation of having to pass the guy on the right, since there was no other lane, - and got into a tankslapper.

We have all been going fast and seen a clear path for our plans change instantly and cause a brainslapper...while we figure where we are going to go in such a short amount of time.

One more reason to take stunts outside of the city. No traffic to worry about there.

And why did he deserve that?
For behaving like an idiot on a PUBLIC road.

He didn't just endanger himself, but he endangered the lives of others as well.
Do you speed? If not then sell your Busa because you are wasting it, if so then shut up you hypocrite.
+2 What he said. The guy was in his own lane, no cars ahead. We buy our toys to go fast, no? Separate comment, the wheel wasn't even that high before he set it down. Spooks me.

If the truth were known, each and everyone of you who don't do wheelies, wish you could? Owning a sport bike and never getting the front wheel of the ground is like being married to a woman with no working body parts

Wheelies are fun and safe. I watched a guy riding a unicycle a while back and talking on his cell phone as he enjoyed his ride. I thought to myself, there is one talented guy! Riding a MC on one wheel is no different, just takes balance and lots of practice. The guy in the video sat it down with the front wheel crossed up.
I thought he had his front wheel a little turned too.
