Wheel chrome or polish?

Can magnesium be polished and sealed? Or should magnesium be chromed? If it can be chromed at all.

I say polish, chrome adds weight.

There is a guy that I know that will polish rims for $150. He does it out of his garage. He has a bad a$$ busa, wish I had his skills. He lives here in Kankakee.

Polisehed looks good,but requires alot of upkeep unless you clear coat them once youre done.Chrome is easy to care for and it doesnt add THAT much weight.

True...but on alloy wheels the chrome will eventually crack and peel

May take him up on that price. I have a extra set of rims for my ZX-9 to polish. Started the rear wheel but lost interest.
