What is the most miles you have covered in a day on your Hayabusa?

350 miles for me, roughly about 6 hours with breaks and lunch.
..take off the lunch and break and I was still averaging 58mph

As soon as I get an Escort X50 I plan on trying a weekend trip to somewhere that would make a 1000 mile round trip...id plan on 500 miles per day.

When I get my next week vacation I am going for Las Vegas then onto Phoenix AZ. which is about 3200 total miles round trip. Here id figure ~800 miles per day so I would need 4 days driving time.

I am asking because Id like to know what it is like to do an 800+ miles day...I know that a fast 350 mile trip can wear me down but it feels good afterwards..sort of how you feel after a good run.

I don't have a Hayabusa yet but I did take several trips on my GSXR750 and the furthest that I have gone is almost 600 miles from Phila, PA to Myrtle Beach. Man did my wrists hurt and my back hurt too. Other than that, it is alot of fun. At the time, I knew where I could get on it and then have to do the speed limit. I used to do that in just over 10 hours only making stops for gas and one food stop. Eat before you leave and when you get there.

on my old R6, i did about 200-230 *roughly a tank*

but the busa.. i had 2 go to cali 2 get, so i did just shy of 500 miles, all non-stop *except 2 get gas twice*.

I've done about ~800 or so a few times one up and 600 two up. This was on my VFR similar to the Busa for comfort (actually with the mods I have the Busa is more comfortable).

800 miles is a long way  (actually once you pass 600 miles is get really long) although if you have some time/experience on your bike I say most ppl can probably pull it off. It makes a big difference on HOW you do the miles, its easier on the highway (so it not really the miles so much as the time you are on the bike).

Also if you know you are going that far you can take precautions early to make it easier. You need to strech/Stand-up/shake out arms/etc every 15 minutes BEFORE you get tired/cramped. If you wait and dont shake out for a couple hours, you'll never get comfortable again (even if you start doing it regularly from that point) and it will be really hard to go far. Ear plugs are a must, I hope you ride with them if you do any kind of distance. Also its good to keep hydrated and popping a couple asprin before the ride helps too.  If you need any tips check out the tips section here IBA these guys do REAL miles especially on the Iron Butt Rally that goes on every two years, their mileage is INSANE.

I'll be doing 1080 miles in 24hrs later this year for an IBA cert., should be fun.

Oh yea if you wanna read something pretty cool about doing one of the IBA rides (not the rally but one of the tougher rides) on a Hayabusa 2-up read this:  100CC Ride

Just did 440mi. a week ago. Hwy70 Feather river canyon and home. The stock seat for me was painful. Must get new seat. Drink lots of water, it helps. Take breaks every so often and strech. Enjoy the scenery and have fun!

heheh it was on a busa(2-up!!!) the "100ccc" is the name of the ride and stands for 100hrs Coast to Coast to Coast

Go ahead read it, the chick is pretty cute too.

Oh duh, I just read the article...its not on a 100cc bike ..ha ha lol, I am such a dork.

Still though that is a crazy insanely long ride to do in 50 hours

Ok I read the whole thing..wow again. So it was 100 hours total allowed for the round trip.

Id love to try that someday...even half that.

I did 1200 miles in 19 hours coming back from Colorado last year to Austin, but that was on the VTX. I hope to do something like that on the Busa at some point. On June 29th we'll be leaving for Colorado again and then heading for Alaska....on the X though. Not ready for 11,000 miles in a month on the Busa yet. I took the whole month of July off for it. Should be fun.

We could do an 'Iron Butt' ride 100ccc from Seattle to Boston and back. I'll hopefully be up for that next summer.

I haven't had my Busa long enough to do a good long day but I have done 380 miles in one day on my old cruiser! I plan on taking a few trips this summer - who knows where! I would like to see Yellowstone!

I also did 330 miles on a Harley in March from Phoenix to Sedonna and back. Nice ride!
