What size are the Fender screws?

OK, this is a dumb question and I feel like a tard. My new bike already had the rear fender removed before I got it. So I made a license plate bracket and I need to mount it under the tail. There are two bolt holes under the tail right before the lights that look like they were where the original fender mounted. Does anyone know what size bolts they take? I have tried every bolt size I have here with no luck. Thanks.

I managed to dig it up on a few microfiches, It shows as a 6x25. Not sure what that translates to though. The 6mm screws I have look about the right size. The thread pitch must be weird. Guess it's off to the dealer to get em tomorrow, looks like a really common part.

You are correct, I just had a "duh" moment. I tried the 6-1.0 x25 first, I just didn't turn hard enough. There must be a sleeve inside the hole, instead of metal thread...
